Class Descriptions

Adult Ballet w/ Ali:

Adult Ballet is a gentle ballet barre class designed for beginners to enjoy the many benefits of ballet training. This class is for all levels and will improve your balance, posture, coordination, and flexibility.

 

Agility w/ Jami

A large part of sports performance and brain health includes agility. If you like challenging your footwork to experience gains on the court, or are looking to increase your speed this 25 minute class is for you. Utilizing speed ladders, plyometrics and team work this class is almost as much fun as gym class was!

 

Balance & Core w/Jami

We begin to lose our balance at age 14, unless we work on it. Balance and core work can lead to diminished chances of falling or injuring ourselves throughout our every day lives. Be proactive and learn some exercises to strengthen balance and core!

 

Bands (25 min) w/Jami:

Resistance bands are a great way to compliment weight training. Resistance training encourages your body to utilize both the eccentric and concentric phases of movement to ensure you work your muscles while protecting your joints.

 

Candlelight Restorative Yoga w/Caitlin:

An all levels yoga class designed to open and encourage the body's own ability to release and let go. Move deeper into supported postures using mindfulness, breath work and props for longer holds. 

 

Cardio Tone w/Jami:

This class has it all!  Get your heart rate up during this full body sculpt class! With designated timed cardio intervals, you are guaranteed five minutes of intense cardio while functionally toning and sculpting every muscle in your body.

 

HIIT w/Simon:

This workout class is a focus on a full body work out. 6- 8 workout stations.Focusing on a fun group workout whilst getting stronger. Newbies to experienced athletes are welcome.

 

Jump Rope w/Jami:

This 25 minute high impact, high energy class will keep you moving and burning calories. Jumping rope improves cardiovascular function, engages your brain and improves hand/eye coordination. This class will also use plyometric movement and plank variations to keep you engaged and challenged throughout.

 

Lunar Flow Yoga w/Caitlin:

These evening flow classes provide a lunar counterpart to your solar cardio and resistance training.  Classes vary depending on the needs of the student but includes longer holds, saturation you in the benefits of each posture while also providing ample time for you to fine tube your alignment.  Chandra Namaskars (flowing moon salutations) will be thread through each class, as a reminder for you to connect to your breath.  These candlelit classes will incorporate hip openers and forward flows designed to stretch away tension and prepare you for a relaxing evening and rejuvenating sleep.  Suitable for students of all levels. 

 

Mellow Yoga w/Caitlin:

Melt away stress and muscle tension with this delicious practice that combines movement, restorative yoga postures and meditation. The class will begin with gentle movement of the spine and major joints to promote flexibility, mobility, and energetic flow. Longer held restorative postures help release stress, muscle tension, repair muscle fibers, and promote weight loss. Guided meditation calms the mind and deepens its connection to the body.

 

Organic Strength and Mobility w/Alena:

Inspired by the teachings of Ido Portal and his Movement culture, we explore joint mobility and body weight strength, coordination patterns and balance.

 

Pilates Fusion w/Ali:

This class is a mix of classical and contemporary mat Pilates with the use of various props. You will stretch and strengthen without over or under using any muscle groups. This class will improve your overall strength, alignment, flexibility and coordination.

 

Pilates Mat w/Shelly:

Pilates will increase your flexibility, muscular strength and tone, particularly the core region. Practice will provide balanced strength and flexibility, which can lead to less injury.

 

Power Pilates Mat w/Sarah:

Power Pilates is a form of classical Pilates that centers around honoring the integrity of the original method developed by Joseph Pilates. Power Pilates is designed to be customized for each student individually, brand new beginners and advanced students alike should feel welcome in this class.

 

Prana Power Yoga w/Caitlin:

Prana Vinyasa® is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective of Teachers. Students of all levels are empowered to experience prana - the universal source of breath, life-energy and conscious intelligence - as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living.

 

Restorative Yoga w/Caitlin:

An all levels yoga class designed to open and encourage the body's own ability to release and let go. Move deeper into supported postures using mindfulness, breath work and props for longer holds. This gentle class will give students an opportunity to disconnect from the frenetic activity of daily life and deepened awareness.

 

Roll & Release w/Jami:

Got knots? This class starts with a brief dynamic stretch to get your heart rate up, before moving to the foam roller to release the fascia and activate your muscles. The class finishes with a static stretch in order to take that stretch one-step further. .

 

Rope Burn (25 min) w/Jami:

This 25 minute high, intensity interval training will have you jumping for joy. Using jump ropes, you will boost your heart rate and test your footwork and agility! This class is a great way to get your cardio in quickly!

 

Sculpt w/Jami:

This 50 minute class will take you through a full body sculpt workout of both single and compound exercises. There are opportunities to progress and regress any exercise so this is a great class for beginners looking to learn about weight training, or experienced gym goers looking to take their workout to the next level.

 

Sculpt & Barre/Jami:

This class will fuse popular sculpt and barre moves to provide you with a full body low impact workout. Incorporating gliders, yoga blocks, bands and weights this ever changing class will keep you challenged all winter long!

 

Solar Flow Yoga w/ Caitlin:

Beginner to advanced students will enjoy an invigorating physical yoga practice themed around the energy of the sun. This class will teach you to tap into the radiant heat that runs through your body to revitalize your spirit and soul. Solar Flow is designed to feel uplifting and invigorating. Following our warm up, a strong standing sequence will challenge stability and increase mobility. Classes wrap up with seated postures, back bends, and basic inversions to cultivate an overall sense of steadiness and ease in the body. Students should have 5-10 yoga classes under their belt before joining in, but students of ALL levels are welcome.

 

Spin w/Caitlin:

This addictive full body workout is complete with arm moves, fast legwork and in & out of the saddle routines that are all expertly timed with music. Students can expect to work hard for a full 45 minutes, and then return their heart rate to normal with a 5-minute guided cool down.

 

Spin w/Seth:

Ride the Hills of Provence and Piemonte! Seth’s spin class focuses on individualized performance growth training, driven by non-competitive team spirit instruction. With an eclectic selection of music by contemporary artists and personal videos taken of routes in the south of France and northern Italy, Seth guides you along scenic imagery while challenging you to peak performance.

 

Themed Rides w/Caitlin:

Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned rider, Wednesday night's 5:30pm fun and inspiring theme rides are for you! We've got it all: the heart pounding exhilaration of interval training, the focus you'll cultivate while climbing challenging hills and the detoxifying surges that leave your body feeling stress free. Cailtin's musically driven indoor cycling classes are an opportunity to boost your energy mid-week and inspire yourself to ride into the weekend.  

 

Yin Yoga w/Paul:

A slow paced yoga practice that aims to improve flexibility and increase joint mobility by applying moderate stress to connective tissue - muscles, tendons, fascia, and ligaments. Yin postures are done on the floor, without muscular contraction and are held for 3-5 minutes using gravity as the agent for soft tissue change. Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to more active styles of yoga and exercise.

 

Yoga Breakdown w/Caitlin:

This 75-minute "workshop-esque" class will give yoga-curious students a chance to break down poses and explore detailed techniques not often addressed in shorter format classes. Class will begin with a traditional warm-up of sun salutations and then move into exploration and the discussion of correct alignment, safe modifications and ways to take your practice to the next level. 

 

Yoga w/Leigh:

This practice is a strong embodied flow focusing on slow & deliberate transitions between postures in order to build strength, flexibility and a deeper connection between the body and breath.
